Competitions

 

 

USALSA hosts two different competition periods at UniSA for law students each year. There are the Open Competitions in Trimester 1, and the First Year Moot in Trimester 3.

 

The Open Competitions are open to all UniSA Law Students, while the First Year Competitions are for First Year students only.

 

There are 4 competition variants:

• Mooting

• Witness Examination

• Negotiation

• Client Interview

 

Winners of the Open Competitions receive a paid trip to the ALSA conference, courtesy of USALSA. The Australian Law Student Association (ALSA) Conference is the biggest event on the calendar for law students from across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. Comps are a great way to boost confidence in public speaking and advocacy, and offer an unparralleled experience.
