2014/2015 Social Justice Initiatives

The 2014/2015 USALSA Committee has recently adopted the Australian Literacy and Numeracy Foundation as one of our Social Justice partners. The ALNF is committed to raising the reading, writing, and numeracy standards of Australian’s. The initiative that USALSA will directly support is ALNF’s Wall of Hands Appeal, which is a program aimed at improving the literacy abilities of children in remote Indigenous communities all over Australia.

For this year, USALSA will be donating all proceeds generated from Welcome Back Lunches, as well as 5% of profits from all other social events to this important cause, in support of closing the gap, giving all Australia children equal opportunity in life.
